Carly Monnett has a diverse work experience in the education field. Carly started their career as a Field Experience student at the Indiana University School of Education, where they co-taught combined social studies and English lessons, conducted assessments, and collaborated with teachers to meet individual student needs. Carly also coordinated with co-teachers to plan and teach math and science lessons. During this time, they gained experience in differentiation and maintaining a supportive classroom environment.

Carly then worked as a Student Supervisor at Indiana University Bloomington, where they delegated tasks, managed files and orders, and ensured cleanliness and food preparation safety in various cafes.

Carly also served as a Head Lab Instructor at the Indiana University Physics Department, where they supervised and guided students in laboratory experiments.

Carly further developed their teaching skills as a Student Teacher at Hamilton Southeastern Schools, where they planned and taught whole group lessons in multiple subjects, provided small group instruction, and offered extra support through virtual platforms.

Carly also worked as a Substitute Teacher at Plainfield Community School Corporation and Avon Community School Corporation, where they facilitated lesson plans, supervised classrooms, and assisted in student learning.

Carly Monnett's education history begins with their high school education at Plainfield High School, which they attended from 2013 to 2017. After completing high school, Carly pursued their Bachelor of Education degree at Indiana University Bloomington from 2017 to 2021. Carly'sdegree focused on Elementary Education, Elementary Special Education, and Psychology.

In addition to their bachelor's degree, Carly obtained several certifications. In May 2021, they earned the title of Initial Practitioner in Mild Interventions K-6 and Elementary Generalist from the Indiana Department of Education. Carly also obtained certifications in Suicide Prevention and American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED in May 2021 and March 2021, respectively.

Recently, in 2022, Carly attended Indiana University Bloomington again to earn a Certificate in Education with a specialization in Dyslexia.
