Gaetano De Santis possesses extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, holding various leadership roles since 1990. Currently serving as Chairman of the Bapco Refining Sport Committee and General Manager of the Reliability and Maintenance Division at Bahrain Petroleum Company since July 2018, Gaetano has previously held senior positions at Eni, including Vice President of Plant Engineering and Project Execution. Gaetano's background encompasses managing refineries, optimizing maintenance and engineering processes, and overseeing significant projects such as the Petrobicentenario new refinery in Venezuela. With a degree in Chemical Engineering from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II and a Doctorate in Law from Università Telematica Internazionale UNINETTUNO, Gaetano combines technical expertise with legal knowledge.
