Alex Tighe is an experienced software engineer and author with a strong background in aerospace, aeronautical, and astronautical engineering. Currently an Associate at Galatea Associates since April 2012, Alex leads design and development efforts for financial software solutions while providing architectural guidance and mentorship to global team members. In addition, Alex contributes as an author for Baeldung, focusing on Java and Linux tutorials. Previous positions include Senior Software Engineer roles at Sigma Space Corporation and programmer at the McGovern Institute for Brain Research, along with earlier software engineering and application support roles at MathWorks. Alex holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech.
