Erin Zipes is currently the Chief Legal Officer at 1Password. In addition to this role, Erin is also a Founding Partner at Backbone Angels, a group of angel investors focused on supporting women and non-binary founders, particularly those from Black, Indigenous, and Women of Colour-led companies. Erin is also a Charter Member at TechGC, a community of General Counsels supporting each other. Prior to these roles, Erin held various legal positions at companies such as Shopify, Nordion, Gowlings, and Stikeman Elliott LLP. Erin holds a LLB/BCL degree from McGill University and a BCOMM degree from Queen's University.
