Shannon Gerard has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Shannon currently holds the position of Sr. Director of Marketing Operations at Backblaze, a role they have been in since March 2023. Prior to this, Shannon worked as the Director of Marketing Operations at Backblaze from March 2020 to March 2023. Shannon also worked as a Skydive Coach at the U.S. Parachute Association (USPA) starting in October 2017. Before that, Shannon held various marketing roles at companies such as OneMarket, Ace Metrix, Conversant, Inc., Invoca, CallSource, Ogden Clinic, Raymond James Financial Inc., and Yeo & Yeo. In their previous positions, they served as a Director, Marketing; Marketing Manager; Enterprise Segment Marketing Manager; Marketing Coordinator; and Marketing Intern/Assistant. Shannon brings a wide range of marketing expertise to their current role at Backblaze.
Shannon Gerard completed their education in a few different institutions. Shannon started at Bay City Central from 1999 to 2003, where they did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. Shannon then attended Delta College from 2003 to 2005, where they pursued a degree in Management and received an A.B.S. degree. Lastly, they attended Northwood University from 2005 to 2007, where they obtained a B.B.A. degree in Marketing and Management. In addition to their education, Shannon has acquired certifications in Google Analytics and Hubspot Inbound Certification from Google and HubSpot, respectively, in 2016 and 2015. Shannon also received their Skydiving B License from the U.S. Parachute Association (USPA) in 2015.
