Rain Smith is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in security engineering and incident response. Currently, Rain serves as a Senior Security Engineer at Backblaze, while also being the Founder of hackerhorse Consulting. Previous roles include Manager of Digital Forensics and Incident Response at 1Password, where Rain established the Incident Response Team and contributed to a significant company valuation. Rain has also held the position of Director of Information Security at Moogsoft, implementing critical security strategies and a business continuity plan during the COVID-19 pandemic. Rain's career includes roles at FreeBSD, PullRequest, New Context, Facebook, Linode, and freelance work in technological support and security analysis. Rain is pursuing a PhD in Theology and Religious Studies at EIT Seminary.
