Alejandro Vélez Ramírez has been involved in a variety of companies since 2007. Alejandro founded The Sage Mentorship Project in 2007 and then worked as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Morgan Stanley in 2008. In 2010, they co-founded Back to the Roots, Inc. with Nikhil, an organic food & gardening company. Alejandro served as Co-Founder and Co-CEO until 2017, when they became an investor at NatureBox. In 2018, they became an advisor at Kiss The Ground and in 2020 they became an investor and advisor at Air Protein. In 2021, they became an investor at La Haus and in 2022 they became an investor and advisor at Simera.

Alejandro Vélez Ramírez graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management, General. Alejandro also earned the CFA Level I and is a CFA Level II Candidate from the CFA Institute.
