Jānis Ķesteris has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Jānis most recently worked as a Senior Data Engineer at Back Market starting in May 2021. Prior to that, they held the role of Algorithmic Data Products Team Manager at Zalando Lounge from May 2020 to May 2021.

Jānis has also worked at PRIORI DATA, where they served as Head of Data from March 2019 to March 2020, and as a Principal Engineer from August 2013 to March 2020. Before that, they worked as a Senior Software Developer at SOFTGAMES - Mobile Entertainment Services from February 2013 to August 2013.

Earlier in their career, Jānis was a Project Manager/Senior Developer at IT House from May 2009 to January 2013. Jānis also had a brief stint as a developer at RentMama.com in 2010 and worked as a PHP Developer at SIA NETCARDS from April 2008 to April 2009.

Jānis Ķesteris began their education at Zvejniekciema vidusskola, where they completed their high school education from 1993 to 2005. Jānis then attended Vidzemes Augstskola / Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in IT from 2005 to 2009. Following this, they pursued further education at the same institution, specializing in social system modeling and obtained a major degree from 2009 to 2011.
