Igor Klimanov is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the mining and corporate development sectors. Currently serving as a Consultant at Bacchus Capital Advisers since January 2023, Igor previously held key positions at Nordgold from 2010 to 2022, including Development Projects Director and Managing Director for Africa, overseeing M&A, exploration, and the construction of gold mines. Prior to that, Igor worked as Manager of Corporate Development at Severstal, focusing on M&A and strategy from 2007 to 2010. Early career experience includes a role as an Engineer at the Russian Research Center "Kurchatov Institute" with a focus on post-graduate research in fusion and data analysis. Igor holds a PhD in Physics from EPFL and an MSc in Physics from the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI.
