Neil Sutherland

Global Insight Director - Incubation Brands at Bacardi

Neil Sutherland has extensive work experience in consumer and market insights, primarily in the alcohol industry. Neil began their career at IRI as an Account Analyst, working with major brands such as UB and Heinz. Neil then moved to the Carlsberg Group, where they held several roles, including Category Insight Manager for the on-trade sector and Global Sales Development Manager, focusing on customer development strategies and insight generation. Neil also worked at Diageo as a Senior Consumer Planning Manager, responsible for consumer and shopper research across all spirits brands. Currently, they are employed at Bacardi as the Global Insight Director for Incubation Brands, overseeing consumer and commercial insights for their dark spirit portfolio. Neil has also held positions as the Global Insight Director for Whisky and Global Shopper & Business Insight Manager, establishing and leading the insight function in the Global Travel Retail division. Neil's expertise lies in utilizing data and research to inform marketing and business strategies, and they have a proven track record of driving commercial success through insights.

Neil Sutherland attended Wellingborough School from 1992 to 1997. Neil then pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Marketing from the University of Plymouth from 1997 to 2001.
