Richard Spencer has extensive work experience in the field of engineering and project management. From 2004 to 2011, they worked at L.A.G.I Contractors, where they served as a Project Manager and Site Supervisor, managing projects in the education and commercial sectors. Richard also worked as an Industrial Electrician, specializing in commercial and industrial projects. Following this, they joined Epping Forest District Council in 2011 and held various positions, including Senior Building Services Engineer and Team Manager Property Maintenance M&E Services. In 2021, they assumed the role of Head of Asset Strategy and Compliance at Epping Forest District Council. In 2023, they joined Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils as the Head of Investment and Compliance. Throughout their career, Richard Spencer has demonstrated their expertise in electrical engineering, testing and inspection of electrical installations, and project management.
Richard Spencer's education history starts in 2008, when they enrolled at London Southbank University to pursue a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) hons degree in Building Services Engineering, which they completed in 2013. In 2013, they continued their education at the same institution and completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Sustainable Energy Systems by 2015.
In 2018, Richard attended the British Safety Council to receive a certificate at the level of NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management.
Looking ahead, Richard plans to further their education in the field of Building Safety. In 2022, they are scheduled to attend Housing LMS CIOB, where they will pursue a Lv 6 Diploma in Building Safety, which will extend until 2023. Additionally, they are currently enrolled at Solace, where they aim to acquire a Lv 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, focusing on Management, which is expected to be completed by 2023.
