Todd Ehresmann

Head Of Learning Content Central at Babbel

Todd Ehresmann has a diverse background in various roles and industries. Todd started their career as a Sports Writer/Editor at the Daily Cardinal Newspaper in 2001. Todd later worked as an English Teaching Assistant for the Austrian Ministry of Education from 2003 to 2006, and also held a similar role in Styria, Austria. From 2006 to 2008, Todd served as a German Teaching Assistant and then became the Head German Teaching Assistant at the University of Wisconsin.

In 2009, Todd took on the role of a Dutch Teaching Assistant at the University of Wisconsin. Concurrently, they pursued a Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, specializing in the historical development of the Berlin urban vernacular. During this time, they conducted extensive archival research, completed paleography training, and performed geocoding and GIS mapping.

Todd expanded their career into the digital sector, becoming the Front Page Editor for The Daily Source from 2011 to 2012. Todd then joined Retale as the Head of Content Services from 2012 to 2018. In this role, they led and managed a content and operations team, built up the US office, and collaborated with product and development teams to optimize operational tools and processes.

With their expertise in content management and language, Todd joined Babbel in 2018. Todd held various roles at Babbel, including Team Lead English - Didactics, Lead - Didactics, and Head of Learning Content Central. In these positions, they contributed to the development of language-learning content and oversaw teams responsible for creating instructional materials.

Throughout their career, Todd has demonstrated a strong commitment to language education, content management, and research.

Todd Ehresmann earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in German from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2003. Todd went on to complete their Master of Arts degree in Germanic Linguistics from the same university in 2007. In 2012, Todd obtained their Ph.D. in Germanic Linguistics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
