Jerry Barnes has a diverse and extensive work experience history. Jerry began their career at GE Aerospace as an Edison Engineer, where they supervised technical exchanges and resolved issues among high-technology contractors. Jerry then moved on to GE Appliances as an Equipment Development Engineer, leading automated equipment projects and providing mechanical design concepts.
In 1990, Barnes joined Raque Food Systems as a Project Engineer, where they conceptualized, designed, and developed automated food packaging equipment. Jerry later advanced to the role of Senior Engineer, directing and scheduling the work of other staff engineers and overseeing the development of innovative control systems.
Barnes continued to expand their career at Raque Food Systems, eventually becoming the Director of Automation Engineering and later the Director of Engineering. In these roles, they supervised project managers and engineers, led cross-functional quality teams, and achieved tighter integration between design and assembly groups.
In 2007, Barnes joined Turkington USA as the VP of Engineering, responsible for equipment design, customization, and product development. Jerry then moved on to Baker Thermal Solutions in 2012 as the Sr. VP Engineering, where they led the realignment of the business and drove higher levels of productivity.
From 2013 to 2014, Barnes held the position of VP Business Development & Marketing and later Vice President of Engineering at Baker Thermal Solutions & Stewart Systems, overseeing engineering activities, product developments, and joint marketing efforts.
In 2015, Barnes became the President / Managing Director at Spooner Vicars Bakery Systems, where they provided commercial, technical, and innovation leadership to the company. Jerry optimized engineering and supply chain development and grew the brand strength as part of the Middleby Worldwide Food Processing Group.
In 2016, Barnes joined Babb Group as an Application Sales Executive, leading a growth-oriented sales team and providing solutions in the bakery and food industry equipment sector.
Most recently, Barnes has been working at BABBCO Tunnel Ovens as the Vice President since 2020.
Jerry Barnes attended St. Xavier High School in Louisville, KY from 1979 to 1983, where they earned a diploma in Honors College Prep. Jerry then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, from 1983 to 1987.
