Abdelilah Tabet has extensive work experience in the financial industry, with a particular focus on quantitative trading and digital innovation. Abdelilah is currently the MD and Head of the Tokyo Quants Team at B2C2 since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Project Manager at Digital Garage from May 2019 to August 2021, and as a Crypto Financial Engineering role at Crypto Garage during the same period.

Before joining Digital Garage and Crypto Garage, Abdelilah Tabet held multiple roles at Mizuho. From April 2018 to April 2019, they served as the Vice President in the Forex Dept. eFX Trading Team, leading the development of eFX quant models and market-making algorithms. Abdelilah also collaborated with Tokyo University on an eFX AI Market Making project.

From September 2015 to March 2018, Abdelilah Tabet worked as the Vice President in the Market R&D Dept. Digital Solution Team at Mizuho. In this role, they implemented various applications and automation processes to improve risk monitoring, hedging, and trading efficiency.

Prior to Mizuho, Abdelilah Tabet gained experience as a Senior Manager at Morgan Stanley from May 2012 to September 2015. Abdelilah was responsible for fixed income mark review and liquidity reserve calculation, and they automated spreadsheets to enhance analysis and reporting capabilities.

Abdelilah Tabet began their career as a Fixed Income Quant at Mizuho Corporate Bank from March 2008 to March 2012. During this time, they worked on implementing various quantitative models and pricing engines for fixed income products.

Before entering the financial industry, they worked as an Engineer at Fujitsu Ltd. from April 2006 to February 2008.

Abdelilah Tabet completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from The University of Tokyo from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology, which they attended from 2000 to 2004. In 1999 and 2000, Abdelilah studied Japanese Language and Literature at Osaka University, where they earned a degree in Japanese language proficiency. Apart from their formal education, Abdelilah has also pursued additional certifications throughout their career. In 2019, they obtained the Chief Technology Officer Career Guide and Product Management First Steps certifications from LinkedIn. In 2018, Abdelilah completed the Neural Networks and Deep Learning course from Coursera and obtained related certificates. Abdelilah also obtained a CCNA certification from Cisco in 2007. In 2010, Abdelilah acquired a certification related to foreign language workers from the Japanese certificate business association.
