Thys Lourens is a seasoned information technology leader with extensive experience in various roles across several prominent organizations. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Azuria Water Solutions since February 2008, Thys oversees the global IT needs of the company. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Director of SAP Integration at Spectrum Brands, where Thys managed major SAP projects across North and South America, as well as a role as Senior Manager in Management Consulting at Ernst & Young LLP, focusing on large-scale SAP projects for Fortune 500 companies. Earlier, Thys was a Project Manager at Alusaf Hillside Smelter, directing major IT initiatives, and began a career as an Analyst Developer at Samancor Chrome, where software solutions were developed using various programming languages. Educational qualifications include a B Comm. in Computer Science from North-West University and a Supervisory Development Programme from the University of Pretoria.
