Evianis Cruz-Montanez has significant experience in engineering and research roles. They began their career as a Research Assistant at the Florida Space Institute in March 2011, where they worked until September 2012. Following this, they joined ACD Telecom as an Intern from May 2012 to January 2013. From July 2013 to February 2023, they worked at Harris Corporation as an Electrical Engineer. Currently, they are employed at Azure Summit Technology as a Senior System Engineer, starting in February 2023.

Evianis Cruz-Montanez began their education at Valencia College in 2008, where they pursued a Pre-Engineering program and earned their Associate's degree in 2010. Evianis then continued their studies at the University of Central Florida from 2010 to 2013. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering.
