Konstantin Shefov has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Konstantin worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Azul Systems, where they focused on Java Standard Edition ports to Linux on embedded ARM, PowerPC, and MIPS architectures. Prior to this, they worked at Oracle for several years in different roles. As a Senior Software Engineer, they were involved in Java SE software quality engineering, specifically in developing test automation software and tests using Java, BASH, ANT, JUnit, and JtReg, with a specialization in Java Hotspot VM. Konstantin also worked as a Software Engineer and Junior Software Engineer in the same team, contributing to test automation software and JDK regression tests. Earlier in their career, Konstantin worked as a Researcher and Programmer at Saint Petersburg State University, where they focused on numerical simulation and software development for scientific purposes using C++ on Linux.
Konstantin Shefov completed their education in a systematic and progressive manner. Konstantin first attended Saint Petersburg State University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computational Physics, from 2005 to 2009. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computational Physics from the same university, from 2009 to 2012. Konstantin continued their studies at Saint Petersburg State University and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mathematical Modelling, Computational Techniques, and Software from 2012 to 2015.
In addition to their formal education, Konstantin Shefov also obtained a certification as an Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 7 Programmer in December 2013. The certificate was granted by Oracle.
