Mara Mihali has a strong history of work experience in the tech industry. Mara started their career as a STEP Intern at Google in 2018, where they built a source code indexer for the UrlyBird project. In 2019, they returned to Google as a Software Engineer Intern. In this role, they gained experience in software engineering and contributed to various projects. In 2020, they continued their internship at Google and created the Go Safeweb Framework, focusing on secure-by-default HTTP servers. Mara then interned at eyeo in 2021 as a Software Developer Intern before returning to Google later that year as a Software Engineer Intern. Their work at Google included designing and implementing a differential fuzzing tool for the Linux kernel and presenting it at the Linux Plumbers Conference in 2021. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Protocol Labs as a Cryptography Engineer, working on SNARK research with a focus on Testudo. Mara is currently employed at Aztec as a Cryptography Engineer.
Mara Mihali earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge, where they studied from 2017 to 2020. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master's degree in Information Security at UCL, starting in 2021 and completing in 2022.
