Chris Nicol is an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in developing collaborative solutions at SMART Technologies since July 2010. Currently, Chris is focused on hardware development for DViT interactive whiteboards and educational devices. Prior roles at SMART Technologies included Firmware Engineer, where Chris developed firmware and diagnostic tools for similar products. Earlier experience includes serving as an Electronics Contractor for the Science Alberta Foundation, where Chris worked on electronics design for educational devices, and as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Calgary. Chris began a career as an Electronics Engineer at Grindcom, developing control systems for the forestry industry. Chris holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
