Nurlan Shikhaliyev serves as the Human Resources Director at "AzerGold"​ CJSC since March 2024, following a similar role at Umid Babek Operating Company from March 2023 to March 2024. Prior experience includes positions at Azərbaycan Dəmir Yolları / Azerbaijan Railways, where Nurlan held the roles of Deputy Head of Human Resources Department and Head of Workforce Planning. At the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), from October 2012 to June 2021, Nurlan advanced from Leading HR Specialist to Deputy Manager of Career Planning and Employee Relations, and Project Manager for the Human Resources Transformation Project, focusing on building competencies, performance management, succession planning, and change management. Nurlan holds a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from The University of Sheffield and a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University.
