Alex Casassovici has held a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2008. In 2008, they founded VR-WEAR, a company that aimed to reinvent Virtual Reality devices for the masses. In 2009, they held the role of General Manager Steek Mobile at Steek/Agematis, where they enabled connected devices and mobile phones to play, save, and share digital content on the cloud. Alex also held the role of Head of Mobile at F-Secure Corporation in 2009. In 2011, they became the Project Leader at Diveboard, a #1 worldwide platform to track scuba diving experiences. In 2016, they became the Co Organizer of Tech for Games, a meetup that helps game developers take the fast lane. In 2018, they became the Founding Partner - Blockchain Architect at Propulsive - The Blockchain Marketing Agency, a boutique consulting group focusing on applying blockchain technologies to business. Alex also became the Founder CEO of azarus.io, a platform that lets users build, distribute, and monetize games on streams. Additionally, they became an Angel, investing a couple of deals a year directly or through syndicates at seed/Series A stage, and an Advisor at heymate, a platform that leverages blockchain technology and two crypto tokens to fulfill critical deal-closing functions.
Alex Casassovici has a diverse educational background. Alex first attended Lycée Hoche from 1993 to 2000, where they studied mathematics. Alex then went on to earn a Ms Science - Engineer degree in ITs from Télécom Paris from 2000 to 2003. After that, they obtained an MBA from College des Ingénieurs from 2003 to 2004. In addition to their formal education, Alex has also obtained several certifications from Coursera, Duke University, and MIT Professional Education. These include Convolutional Neural Networks, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, The Data Scientist’s Toolbox, Marine Megafauna: An Introduction to Marine Science and Conservation, and Tackling the Challenges of Big Data.
