Alan Clarke 💧

Chief Strategy & Project Director at Ayyeka

Alan Clarke has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several years. Starting in 1995, they interned as a Diesel Engine Mechanic at C&G Motors until 1999. From 1999 to 2003, Clarke worked as an Apprentice and Technical Lead at MKE Electrical Ltd, managing a team and handling various installation and maintenance projects in the mining industry.

In 2004, Clarke joined Mercury Engineering/INTEL as an Electrical Installation Specialist, where they played a crucial role in commissioning INTEL's advanced semiconductor manufacturing facility in Ireland. Alan worked with sensitive equipment and adhered to strict safety protocols.

From 2005 to 2008, Clarke served as the Founder and Managing Director of Electromechanics NSW, responsible for installing hardware for an intelligent building management system and managing various projects related to energy management and efficiency.

In 2008, Clarke briefly worked as an Electromechanical Install Technician at Amber Electrical Services before moving on to Skanska UK/Turner Broadcasting, where they served as a Systems Engineer from 2008 to 2012.

In 2012, Clarke worked as an Environmental Consultant at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH for a brief period.

From 2013 to 2021, Clarke founded and served as the Managing Director and later the Chief Technical Officer at EnerTek Global, a multinational company specializing in environmental engineering services. Under their leadership, the company successfully completed over 200 projects for mining, energy infrastructure, and government clients.

Starting in 2023, Clarke assumed the role of Strategy Manager for the Americas at Ayyeka. Their responsibilities include establishing and nurturing partnerships with allies in the remote monitoring solutions field, particularly in mining, heavy industry, and manufacturing. Alan aims to foster successful relationships between clients, partners, and the Ayyeka team.

Alan Clarke has a strong educational background in the field of renewable energy and engineering. Alan obtained a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Dundalk Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Renewable Energy and the Built Environment from the University of East London, completing the program from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, they received a Certificate in HVAC from City & Guilds in 2011. Alongside their formal education, Alan has also obtained additional certifications in various areas, including Advanced Open Water SCUBA from PADI, ECSSA Verification and Certification, and a Level 2 award in F-Gas Regulations from City & Guilds.
