Shannon Mahorney has extensive work experience in content strategy and development. Shannon started their career as a Marketing Writer at SCO in 1988 and then moved to Oracle Corporation, where they held roles as a Writing and Content Development Manager and later as a Sr. Manager of Marketing Programs. In 1998, Shannon established their own company, Shannon Mahorney Content Development Services, where they worked as a Principal Content Development Consultant. Since 2013, they have been with Axway, initially as a Principal Marketing Content Manager/Writer and currently as a Director of Content Strategy & Development. At Axway, Shannon has contributed to the development of a global marketing content strategy framework, established processes for creating impactful content, and transformed thought leadership content into evergreen multi-media packages.
Shannon Mahorney obtained a BA in Linguistics from the University of California, Santa Cruz from 1986 to 1990. In addition, they have obtained several certifications including Digital Marketing Science from GreenFig, Hubspot Email Marketing from HubSpot Academy, Google Ads Search, and Google Analytics Individual Qualification from Google in 2022.
