Joris Meijer is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in data streaming and event-driven architecture. Currently serving as Managing Partner at Axual since December 2015, Joris provides consultancy and software solutions to help large organizations leverage their streaming data. Joris also organizes the Apache Kafka Meetup in Utrecht, fostering a community for knowledge sharing among Kafka users. Previous roles include Middleware Engineer Kafka at ING and Rabobank, where responsibilities included enhancing Kafka-based event platforms and serving as an interim Product Owner. Joris's background further includes senior software engineering at Capgemini and early career roles in software development and technical support. Joris holds a Bachelor's degree in Human Kinetic Technology from De Haagse Hogeschool and has pursued additional education at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and ROC Zeeland.
