Joe Sharpe has a diverse work experience in the field of athletics and ticketing. Joe is currently working as an Account Manager at AXS since November 2021. Previously, they served as the Athletic Director at Trinity Christian Academy from August 2020 to October 2021. Joe also has extensive experience working at various universities. At the University of Kentucky, they held multiple roles including Associate Athletic Director/Administration from July 2018 to July 2020, Associate Athletic Director/Director of Sales from April 2016 to July 2018, Associate Athletic Director/Director of Ticket Operations from May 2012 to April 2016, and Assistant Athletic Director/Director of Ticket Operations from September 2002 to April 2012. Prior to their time at Kentucky, they worked at the University of Washington as the Director of Ticketing, Intercollegiate Athletics from September 2000 to August 2002, and at Oregon State University as the Director of Ticketing, Intercollegiate Athletics from September 1997 to September 2000. Joe has demonstrated expertise in managing budgets, contracts, and facilities for collegiate athletic programs, as well as generating revenue through ticket sales and operations.

Joe Sharpe holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Sports Management from Florida State University, which they completed in 1989. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physical Education from the same university in 1987. Alongside their formal education, Joe also obtained several certifications. In 2021, they earned the certification in "Directing the Athletic and PE Programs" from Independent School Management, Inc. In 2017, they completed a Certificate in Business Administration: Business Foundations from Gatton College of Business and Economics. Additionally, in 2016, Joe received a Certificate of Graduation from the University of Kentucky Citizens Police Academy.
