Steve Gagnier has extensive experience in business development, particularly in the CDMO BU (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization Business Unit). Steve is currently serving as the Director of Business Development at Axplora since November 2022. Prior to their current role, they worked at Novasep as the Director of Business Development from December 2014 to November 2022. Before that, they were the Director of Business Development at Ricerca Biosciences from January 2012 to December 2014. Steve also held the position of Director of Business Development at Asymchem Laboratories, Inc. from October 2010 to August 2011. Additionally, they worked at AMRI, starting as a Senior Research Scientist from December 2000 to May 2004, and later as an Associate Director of Business Development from May 2004 to November 2010.

Steve Gagnier earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where they studied from 1988 to 1992. Steve then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the same university from 1994 to 1995. Later, they completed their education by obtaining a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Iowa State University, where they studied from 1995 to 2000.
