Jing Li is a software engineer at Axoni since October 2020, with previous experience as an intern at BrainCo in July 2019, where involvement included the development of a robotic hand STEM kit. This project enabled real-time interaction between students and a robotic hand through hand gesture recognition using a laptop camera, utilizing convolutional neural networks with TensorFlow and OpenCV. Jing also created a communication protocol connecting the robotic hand and the gesture recognition software, and provided tutoring in STEM with the robot hand at Yale Summer Camp. Jing holds a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Virginia (2018-2020) and two Bachelor's degrees from Southwest University in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics (2014-2017) and Agriculture Resource and Environment (2013-2017).
