PJ Iranitalab has a strong background in the medical device industry with over 20 years of experience. PJ is currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at Axon Therapies Inc. since March 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Boston Scientific as the Vice President of Research and Development from December 2017 to March 2019. Before joining Boston Scientific, they held multiple roles at Apama Medical, including Vice President of Operations and Process Development from January 2017 to December 2017, and Sr. Director of Operations and Process Development from August 2016 to January 2017. PJ also worked as the Director of Product Development at Apama Medical from May 2015 to August 2016. Earlier in their career, they served as the Director of R&D at Cardica, Inc. from February 2012 to May 2015. PJ's experience also includes working as an R&D Manager, General Surgery at Stryker from 2007 to 2012, and as the Chief Clinical and Systems Engineer at St Jude Medical from March 2005 to 2007. PJ began their career as a Sr. Test Engineer at Boston Scientific from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal at PJ's Software Consulting from March 2000 to June 2003.
PJ Iranitalab earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biomedical Engineering from UC San Diego, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. They continued their education at San Jose State University from 2006 to 2009, obtaining a Master of Science (MS) degree in General Engineering with a focus on Biomedical Devices.
