Anna Mitra has extensive experience in research, currently serving as a Research Assistant at Axol Bioscience Ltd. since September 2019. Previously, Anna worked as a Junior Research Scientist at Chiroscience Ltd from January 1989 to July 1997, where responsibilities included the selection and isolation of micro-organisms with novel biotransformation activities and maintaining culture collections. This role evolved to incorporate cell culture skills to aid in the development of in vitro screening techniques, including Immunoassay and PDE screening, alongside proficiency in HPLC, GC, TLC analytical chemistry techniques, and small-scale fermentation scale-up.
