Jodi Cousins has extensive experience in various roles within the social services sector. Starting in 1998 with Aimhi Prince George, Jodi worked as a Program Manager, gaining experience in teaching life skills to individuals with developmental disabilities as well as managing community living residential programs. In 2005, Jodi moved on to the Prince George Native Friendship Centre, where they served as a Program Manager, overseeing a range of services and contracts. Jodi's next position was as the Director of Operations at the BC New Hope Recovery Society, where they managed the day-to-day operations of the organization, including human resources, contract management, and reporting to funders. Following this, Jodi worked as a Consultant at Investors Group before joining the Canadian Mental Health Association as a Program Manager. Currently, Jodi holds the position of Director of Operations, North at Axis Family Resources Ltd.
Jodi Cousins began their education journey in 1990, attending the College of New Caledonia where they pursued a degree in Criminology with a focus on Behavior Modification. Jodi successfully completed their studies in 1994 and then decided to further their education at Simon Fraser University. From 1994 to 1997, Jodi Cousins attended Simon Fraser University and attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and Political Science. Later on, Jodi Cousins joined Cornell University to pursue studies in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, specializing in Crisis Prevention Facilitation.
