John Coates is an experienced engineer specializing in structures testing and verification. Currently serving as a Structures Test and Verification Engineer at Axiom Space since June 2022, John previously held positions including Structural Dynamics Test Engineer at Barrios Technology, LTD from May 2018 to June 2022, and Global Vibration Test Lead at Halliburton, where John provided technical direction for vibration test labs worldwide. Additionally, John has experience as a Vibration Test Engineer at Jacobs Technology, overseeing tests for manned space flight equipment, and held multiple engineering roles at Lockheed Martin, contributing to projects for the Orion program and military aircraft such as the F-16, F-22, and F-35. John earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, graduating in 1986.
