Cheryl Flottorp is a seasoned software safety and quality engineering professional with extensive experience across various organizations in the aerospace and biomedical sectors. Currently serving as a Software Safety Manager at Axiom Space since February 2022, Cheryl oversees systems safety for commercial human spaceflight initiatives. Previously, at Wyle Integrated Science and Engineering Group, Cheryl led software quality engineering efforts, ensuring compliance with industry standards for biomedical projects. Cheryl has held key positions in software assurance and quality at companies including ManTech, ARES Corporation, GHG Corporation, L-3 Communications, and SAIC, where responsibilities ranged from defining quality assurance plans to mentoring junior engineers and ensuring compliance with CMMI standards. Cheryl holds a degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
