Jim Shaw is an experienced consulting partner at Axenic Ltd since April 2009, specializing in information security consulting services across private, NGO, and government sectors, with a focus on security and risk management. Prior to this role, Jim served as a security advisor for the New Zealand Government Department from June 2007 to April 2009, providing policy advice and enhancing operational security. Jim's earlier positions include contract security advisor at the Department of Internal Affairs, principal consultant at Optimation NZ Ltd specializing in ICT security, and various roles at Actrix Networks Ltd, Unisys New Zealand Limited, and Raytheon Company. In addition to practical experience, Jim holds credentials such as ISO 27001-2013 Lead Auditor and SABSA Foundation Course certification, alongside a degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Canterbury.
