Barney Gordon is an experienced professional in the field of remote sensing and data processing, currently serving as the Data Team Lead at Axelspace Corporation since June 2020. In this role, Barney develops software for processing satellite imagery and leads a team of Remote Sensing Engineers focused on enhancing image quality. Prior to this position, Barney worked as a Remote Sensing Engineer at 9fin, a Software Developer at Hummingbird Technologies, and as an Image Analyst specializing in UAV imagery for agricultural intelligence. Early career experience includes a Geospatial Intern role at Terrabotics, where automated image processing was developed using Python, and a brief work experience as a Geologist at Shell. Barney holds a Master’s Degree in Remote Sensing from UCL and a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from the University of Birkbeck.
