Rich Menendez has over 20 years of experience in the technology sector. In 1998, they founded WorkExchange, a web1.0 technology company that enabled a global marketplace for virtual work. In 2001, they joined ONI Systems as a Senior Program Manager to lead the integration of the 2500 business unit/product line. In 2003, they joined Panasas Inc. as VP Operations & Director of Engineering, where they created the Program Management department and reached $40M annual revenue in 4 years. In 2007, they joined One Medical as VP Operations and Engineering (“de facto COO”), where they built and ran all Operations (Clinical and Administrative), Product Management, Engineering, and IT. In 2013, they joined Workshop Cafe as Founder/CEO, where they concepted the business, raised seed and institutional capital, and led product, operations, technology, and store teams. In 2020, they began advising, consulting, and investing, and in 2022 they will become the Chief Operating Officer of Aware Healthcare.
Rich Menendez attended Kettering University from 1990 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Rich then attended Stanford University Graduate School of Business from 1997 to 1999, where they earned a Master of Business Administration in Business Administration, Management and Operations.
