Tijs van der Smagt is a Control Engineer at Avular since May 2022, focusing on the design and implementation of control and software architecture for the company's autonomous systems. Prior to Avular, Tijs served as an Autonomous Systems Engineer at AIIM from May 2019 to May 2022, where responsibilities included software integration and sensor calibration for autonomous vehicles. Tijs contributed to the development of an autonomous racing car during a master’s project at University Racing Eindhoven. A former Senior Consultant at UniPartners Eindhoven, Tijs completed projects at NXP Semiconductors, including a functional prototype for package size estimation and support in test engineering roles. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Automotive Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Automotive, both from Eindhoven University of Technology.
