Steve Ratcliff has a diverse work experience in the events and audio engineering industry. Steve started their career as a Freelance Audio Engineer in 2003, working for companies like Self Employed, Event Architects, Inc., Delicate Productions, and D&V Sound. In 2006, they joined 3rd Ear Sound as a Staff Engineer. Steve then worked as a Technical Director, Show Caller, and Audio Engineer at AVT Productions from 2007 onwards.

In 2010, Ratcliff also freelanced as an Audio Engineer for Delicate Productions. In 2012, they worked as a Freelance Audio Engineer for Event Architects, Inc. From 2013 to 2020, Ratcliff worked at Immersivepro.com as a Show Caller and Audio Engineer.

In 2013, Ratcliff also took on the role of a Freelance Technical Director and Show Caller for Self Employed. In 2014, they joined Trademark Event Productions, Inc. as a Technical Producer, handling the technical aspects of events.

In 2017, Ratcliff founded their own company, Ratcliff Technical Services, Inc., where they served as the Technical Director, Show Caller, and Audio Engineer. Steve is currently working as the Technical Director and Show Caller at Kennedy Events, a position they have held since 2019. In 2002, they attended Synergetic Audio Concepts, where they studied sound system optimization and sound system design. Later in 2007, they returned to Synergetic Audio Concepts to learn about equalization and dealing with hums, buzzes, and electrical issues in audio equipment. In 2008, Ratcliff attended Meyer Sound Education, focusing on the fundamentals of system design, implementation, and optimization. Steve then attended Pro Audio Seminars in 2011 for Avid Venue training and The Complete Front Of House Engineer course. Additionally, Ratcliff pursued further education in 2015 at Synergetic Audio Concepts to study the effective integration of wireless technology in audio systems.
