Samuel Fernandes is a seasoned football professional with extensive experience in coaching and playing. As the Founder and Director of Australian Football Group since January 2024, Samuel also plays for Avondale Football Club in the NPL VIC Mens league and serves as an Assistant Coach for the U16s team. In addition, Samuel has held the position of Head Coach for Year 10A Boys Football at Wesley College in 2024 and has worked as a Participation Officer for Football Australia, focusing on community contributions and session organization. Previous roles include Head Coach at Redlands and Rosebank College Five Dock, where Samuel achieved significant accolades with teams, including Junior Girls champions. A former player for Football NSW, Samuel has also spent time as a professional football player with SPAL FC. Currently pursuing a dual degree in Secondary Education and Exercise Science at Australian Catholic University, Samuel has furthered coaching qualifications with a Football Australia Coaching 'C' Licence.
