Jeff Perkins, PhD, is the Chief Operating Officer at Avo Photonics since April 2007, bringing extensive experience in optical telecommunications and engineering. Previously, Jeff held multiple roles at JDSU, including Senior Technical Manager for Product Development and Director of Operations, where responsibilities included directing development teams and managing large engineering groups for new product introduction. Earlier in the career, Jeff served as Engineering Manager for Packaging Design at Epitaxx, a Senior Process Development Engineer at Photocircuits, and held various engineering positions at IBM, focusing on reliability and thermal design. Jeff's educational background includes a PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Heat Transfer, as well as an MS in Fluid Dynamics and a BS in Mechanical Engineering, all obtained from Lehigh University.
