Maz Bown is an experienced risk management professional currently serving as Chief Risk Officer SMF4 at Aviva Insurance Limited since March 2022. Previously held positions include Chief Risk Officer and Interim Chief Risk Officer at Aviva Canada from October 2019 to March 2022, as well as Senior Vice President of Enterprise Risk at Aviva Canada. Prior roles at Aviva from August 2016 to October 2019 involved leadership as UK Analytics Director and Transformation Director within the Quantum (Data Science) division, along with the Head of Insurance Risk. Earlier experience includes Vice President of Economic Capital at Aviva Canada, and various actuarial roles at Aviva and Aviva Canada starting from 2002. Maz Bown holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Nottingham and a Ph.D. in Statistics from Nottingham Trent University.
