Eugene Gibney is an accomplished financial executive currently serving as Chief Investment Officer at Aviva since June 2018. Prior to this role, Eugene held various leadership positions at Friends First, including Head of Investment Division, where responsibilities encompassed chairing the Investment Committee and participating in the Risk & Compliance and Audit Committees. Eugene also served as Head of SBU, implementing a comprehensive de-risking strategy for the company's balance sheet, and overseeing investor relations. Earlier experience includes roles at Bank of Ireland as Director of Wealth Management and Senior European Property Finance Manager, as well as Senior Manager at Bank Zachodni WBK S.A., focusing on corporate banking and real estate financing. Eugene holds a Master's in Business Studies from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and a Bachelor's in Commerce from University College Dublin.
