Peter Petrov is a highly experienced electrical and instrumentation technician with a robust background in power systems, protective relaying, and communication technologies. Currently servicing as a Senior Journeyman PCM Technician at Avista since January 2018, Peter is responsible for critical installations and maintenance of systems in substations. Previous roles at BC Hydro, Barrick Gold Corporation, Wood Group Gas Turbine Service, Cummins Eastern Canada LP, and various other organizations showcase a consistent progression in responsibilities, particularly in managing power generation, control systems, and troubleshooting complex electrical equipment. Peter holds an MSE degree in Electrical Power Stations and Substations from the Technical University in Sofia and a college diploma from Electrotechnical College Radomir, providing a strong educational foundation for a career marked by expertise in electrical maintenance and system automation.
