Michael Yang, P.E. is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in natural gas distribution and quality management. Currently serving as a Senior Natural Gas Distribution Engineer and Gas Customer Project Coordinator at Avista since April 2019, Michael manages the installation, maintenance, and modification of natural gas distribution facilities while collaborating with customers and contractors to meet their gas needs. Prior to this role, Michael spent over a decade at Puget Sound Energy, where positions included Senior Engineer roles focused on quality management and gas standards. Notably, Michael achieved significant improvements in quality control, leading to a 40% reduction in defective material shipments, and was instrumental in the development of a supplier risk assessment tool.
