Shantel Dixon is a highly experienced educational professional currently serving as a Staff Developer at AVID Center since July 2019, where responsibilities include facilitating professional learning for educators across the United States. In addition to this role, Shantel has been an Assistant Principal and English Teacher at Santa Fe Public Schools since November 2015, holding various positions such as English Department Chair, AVID Coordinator, and SAT Coordinator. Shantel also serves as a Professor of Curriculum and Instruction at Santa Fe Community College since January 2020. Previous experience includes teaching roles at UPK New Mexico and a leadership position as Assistant Director. Shantel's educational credentials include Master's degrees in Educational Leadership and Administration, as well as Curriculum and Instruction, from The University of New Mexico and New Mexico Highlands University, respectively, and a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from New Mexico State University.
