Chris De Rouck has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2007, they began their career as a Helpdesk ICT intern at Recticel, where they provided support and set up factory sales. Chris then joined Philips in 2011 as an Engineer Software Developer, working on TV platform APIs and features such as JPeg, Divx, WMDrm, and Playready. In 2012, Philips created a joint venture called TP Vision, and Chris continued their work in the Connectivity team, integrating Playready, developing Wifi Smart-screen, and cooperating with colleagues in Bangalore.
In 2014, Chris joined Amplidata as a Software Engineer, focusing on developing the S3 interface for a data storage solution using C++11 and commonly used development tools. Chris later worked as a Web Development Consultant at TapCrowd and as a Lead Web Development Consultant at Trilations, where they were responsible for developing and maintaining their applications built on the Symfony framework.
Chris co-founded Aviatize in 2015 and served as the Co-Founder and CTO, building a SaaS platform for drone pilots to comply with regulations, access data, and manage their businesses. Chris also worked at Bothrs as a Senior Software Engineer in 2018 before becoming a Technical Co-Founder at IS IT A PLANE in the same year.
Throughout their career, Chris De Rouck has gained expertise in software development, web development, and technical leadership, demonstrating versatility and adaptability in various projects and industries.
Chris De Rouck completed their secondary schooling at Sint Gertrudis College from the year 2000 until 2006, where they pursued a field of study in Latin-Maths. Following this, they attended Ghent University from 2006 until 2011, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Computer Software Engineering.
