Diego Pozo Ortega possesses extensive experience in regulatory affairs within the agricultural sector, currently serving as Jefe Regulatorio at Avgust Crop Protection since March 2022. Prior to this role, Diego held positions such as Jefe Regulatorio e Investigación and Jefe Regulatorio y Registros at Solagro S.A. from June 2012 to June 2022, focusing on the registration of chemical and biological pesticides, fertilizers, and seeds, as well as managing hazardous waste activities. Earlier experience includes roles at DUPOCSA-Crystal Chemical del Ecuador, where responsibilities involved regulatory assistance and biological efficacy trials, and at AGROAMBIENTE, handling pesticide registration documentation. Diego Pozo Ortega holds a Master’s degree in Soils and Plant Nutrition from Universidad Central del Ecuador and a degree in Agricultural Engineering from Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas - ESPE.
