Mohammad Hammoud has extensive work experience in the field of computer science. Mohammad is currently working at Computer Science at CMU-Qatar as an Associate Teaching Professor since January 2021. Before this, they held positions of Assistant Teaching Professor from July 2015 to December 2020 and Visiting Assistant Professor from August 2013 to June 2015 at the same institution. Prior to their teaching roles, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Computer Science at CMU-Qatar from February 2011 to July 2013. In this role, they focused on improving Hadoop network traffic and performance through the design of new scheduling algorithms and application characterization. Additionally, they have also worked as the Founder & CEO of Avey since October 2017. Avey is an AI-based medical diagnostic system that provides instant and accurate diagnoses to patients worldwide. Mohammad has also served as a Visiting Professor at the American University of Science and Technology from September 2010 to January 2011.
Mohammad Hammoud's education history consists of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the American University of Science and Technology, which they completed from 2000 to 2004. Subsequently, they pursued further education at the University of Pittsburgh, where they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from 2005 to 2010. Additionally, during the same period, they also completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
