Chris Steel has significant experience in communications and marketing roles. Chris began their career as a journalist at Newsquest, where they won an award for the best website. Chris then worked for the Metropolitan Police as an Intelligence Analyst and supported senior detectives in high-profile cases. Chris subsequently joined Gravesham Borough Council as a Senior Media and Communications Officer, where they negotiated a partnership with Sky News to promote the borough. Chris then moved to Kent Fire and Rescue Service as a Marketing and Campaigns Manager, where they won national advertising awards and developed a new model for prevention activity. Chris later became the Communications and Marketing Manager at KIMS Hospital, where they developed and implemented a successful marketing and PR strategy. Their most recent role was as the Head of Communications at Avenues Group.
