Yuri Baltovskiy is a seasoned software engineer and team leader with extensive experience in Scala and Big Data technologies. Since February 2021, Yuri has served as the Scala / Big Data Team Lead at Avenga. Prior to that, positions included Scala / Big Data Senior Software Engineer at Captify® and Scala / Big Data Team Lead at Lohika. Yuri also held leadership roles at Opinov8 and Triple Next Technologies, where involvement included the development of significant products such as the Anyware IoT device and Tangiblee. Earlier career experiences include foundational roles at Gaia srl, aspnetexpert.com, Northern Financial Corporation, and Navigator Company, where Yuri contributed to diverse projects across various sectors including finance and manufacturing. Academic qualifications include a Specialist in Programming and Mathematics from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and additional courses at prestigious institutions such as EPFL and the University of California, Berkeley.
