Xiaochen Liu began their work experience as a Research Intern at Microsoft Research Asia in 2013. From 2014 to 2019, they worked as a Research Assistant at USC Viterbi School of Engineering while also taking on internships at Samsung Research America and Hewlett Packard Labs. In 2019, Xiaochen joined Facebook as a Software Engineer Intern and later transitioned to become a Research Scientist at Meta. In 2022, they joined Aven as a Machine Learning Engineer.

Xiaochen Liu pursued their education in a systematic manner, starting with their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Peking University from 2010 to 2014. During this time, they also spent a year as an exchange student at UCLA in 2013, focusing on Computer Science. Building upon their undergraduate education, Xiaochen went on to complete their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from the University of Southern California between 2014 and 2019. Their educational background showcases a comprehensive understanding of both Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Computer Science fields.
